July 16, 2025 - The International Roofing Expo 2025 show marked the 15th anniversary of Sika's sponsorship of Community Service Day

When Sika’s Roofing & Waterproofing team made its way to San Antonio, Texas, for the 2025 International Roofing Expo (IRE), it provided Sika with the opportunity to extend its annual tradition of sponsoring the Community Service Day before the show. In addition to a $15,000 donation, 15 Sika volunteers joined other show attendees to work alongside the San Antonio division of Rebuilding Together to work on two local homes. The work consisted of landscaping, patio building, general repairs, and much more. Giving back and helping those in need is a great way for the Sika team to kick off the week on a high note and bring pride to each member. Rebuilding Together is a national organization dedicated to rebuilding and revitalizing communities in need. Sika has partnered with Rebuilding Together at past IRE shows as well as on local projects near Sika Roofing & Waterproofing headquarters in Canton, Massachusetts.

Saint-Gobain has completed the acquisition announced on June 27, 2024, of FOSROC, a leading global construction chemicals player with a strong geographic footprint in India, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific in particular .Following the acquisitions of Chryso, GCP and OVNIVER (Cemix brand), this represents another important step in establishing Saint-Gobain’s worldwide presence in construction chemicals, which will have combined sales of €6.5 billion across 76 countries following the acquisition (pro forma).FOSROC is expected to have generated revenues of $487 million in 2024, with a growth rate of around 11% per year on average since 2021. With 20 manufacturing plants and around 3,000 employees, FOSROC provides a wide range of technical solutions for the construction industry, including admixtures and additives for concrete and cement, adhesives and sealants, waterproofing solutions, concrete repair solutions and flooring.

May 21, 2025 - How to Properly Set up a CIM 1000 Cartridge

CIM 1000 Trowel Grade Cartridges are ideal for small applications such as penetrations, joints, cracks and many other small repairs. Cartridges are commonly used for adhesion test patches and repair of CIM coatings. Cartridges may be partially used and re-sealed for future use, eliminating excess waste where only a small amount of CIM is needed.  

May 15, 2025 - 3M's Safety Roadshow brings hands-on learning to students in Alabama, Arkansas and Missouri

When you come aboard 3M’s Safety Roadshow – a 90-foot semitrailer equipped with hands-on training experiences from 3M’s Personal Safety Division – the hum of robotics machinery and student chatter is unavoidable. That was the case at Joe T. Robinson High School, one of three stops in the Little Rock area this spring where more than 200 students eagerly took on roles as production managers, design engineers, assemblers, and quality control inspectors – all working feverously to create the perfect set of modeling clay “cookie” based on customer requirements. Common Air Barrier Tests

Air barrier tests are important because they can identify air leaks in the building envelope, which can lead to energy loss and indoor air quality issues. By identifying and sealing these leaks, the energy efficiency of the building can be improved, and the indoor air quality can be enhanced.

The responsibility for conducting air barrier tests on a building envelope typically falls on the building envelope consultant or the building owner. The building envelope consultant typically designs and specifies the air barrier system and is responsible for ensuring that it is installed correctly and performs as intended. The building owner is responsible for ensuring that the building envelope is constructed in accordance with the design specifications and that it meets the relevant building codes and standards. In some cases, a third-party testing agency may be hired to conduct the air barrier tests.

The experts at Carlisle Coatings & Waterproofing have provided a list of testing and diagnostic evaluations that consultants and testing agencies often perform. A description of each is provided, along with the purpose and precautions. Though this list is not exhaustive, it incorporates the most common testing.

MARCH 4, 2025 - TREMCO UNVEILS ITS NEW PRODUCT PACKAGING

Flowfresh is introducing new packaging with paper bags and plastic linings, featuring a refreshed design and detailed product descriptions for better identification and information.
